I meant the internal configuration in the firmware gets
hosed sometimes and does random strange things. Probably
safer to delete the activity, then the device, re-add
the device and recreate the activity. I'd try that before
I do anything else.

It could be a bad remote.

O.k. just to make extra sure, I deleted the activity, then the device,re-added the device, and recreated the activity, and put it back to discrete power on and power off, and no change.........it turned on the DVR, but not the TV, and help button got me nowhere. Let me add that I had turned it off with the Directv remote before that, but that shouldn't have made a difference........it still sends a power on command, correct? Or does it still think it's on from the last activity?

So, I put it back to the settings that I showed with the screenshots in the previous post, and it works fine again........still don't get what was going on with the power copmmand when set up with discrete commands, and no toggle involved, unless the guy at logitech is right, and my tv just won't work consistently with those type of commands. That seems weird though, but I sure don't know.

Oh, and thanks to both of you for putting up with this and helping me, I really do appreciate it!
