Harmonys work through Activities, and the Activities you set up are displayed on the LCD. Touch the Activity you want and it will switch on the devices it needs, TV, DVD, etc. If you don't like the screen then you don't have to use it for anything else. When you've finished for the day, or the session, press the "off" key -that's the only time it's meant to be used.
