i doubt it or s/one could just call in with BS and get a new rmeote for another room in the house or what have you. i recently went through the warrantly process with them, and the same thought crossed my mind... but only for a split second before logic kicked in. lol
heres what i wonder though... if you programmed the remote to operate in whatever room you want, then call in and complain of a non existent "broken button" and get a new one, what stops you from still using the old one? i went and threw mine out without trying it, as my right direcitonal button was FUBAR'ed so it wasnt worth keeping anyway. i know the old one cant be programmed any more but what stops one from continuing to use it in the same room with the same equipment they always did and getting the new one to use in a dfferent room...? as i didnt plug in the old one at anytime so i dont see how it could have been completely "disabled" from being used all together... ?
