I have a Harmony 555 which developed a problem with the "1" button. As it was under 2 years old I contacted Logitech to have it repaired under warranty. To my surprise they said they will be sending me a replacement 555, and that the faulty 555 will have it's serial number deleted from their system and I should bin it. I assume this means I will not be able to reprogram the faulty 555.

I am sure I can repair the faulty button just by cleaning, but for the remote to be of any use I will need to reprogram it to add an extra device.

Does anyone know if there is a way to reprogram these remotes without using the Harmony programing interface?
