IR input, (or discrete everything for that matter)
does Sharp not understand?
The discretes listed on this forum used on the LC-45GX6U ALL worked fine first time for me. This is part of the same product family. They also worked for all relevant functions on my 20" Sharp.
Since these functions are relatively determinstic, I'd be inclined to look for other problems.
