I recently setup a Panasonic TH50PX500U, with a Harmony remote, discrete input codes worked fine. I have used a Harmony remote to teach a Pronto thats having problem Sony codes. Might be worth getting a cheap Harmony remote to take advantage of being able to download their device codes.
