Also, you MUST buy an IR receiver designed for the PS3,
not just a IR to USB receiver, since the PS3 will not
recognize those. Technically what these are is an "IR

Hi Daniel - I have recently had to update my PS3 firmware (first to 2.00 and now to 2.01) and both updates have interfered with the connection between my PS3 USB port and the adaptor that I have plugged in there to accept Pronto signals (I had followed the setup posted elsewhere on this site that suggested the purchase of an adaptor and an old PS2 IR receiver - which had worked perfectly until this firmware update).
I am toying with the idea of buying a Nyko remote (to get the USB receiver) - but am worried that 2.01 might also have rendered them useless too. Have you heard any feedback yourself?
