I think I know what program you mean. If so, it generates Pronto Hex for the Denon / Sharp protocol. IIRC, to use it you type in the binary values from the Sharp or Denon documentation.

You may find it easier to use that for the Denon / Sharp commands in this pdf file. Using MakeHex for those requires doing a little math to add the "extension" value to the function number.

But I'm still assuming the interesting part of that pdf is the Denon Kasiekyo signals. I'm pretty sure that program you found doesn't do Kaseikyo protocol, just Sharp protocol.
