Interim report:

Panasonic2.irp is incorrect, should be panasonic.irp, at least for 144 code. With 144 I seem to get all VCR transport functions as well as discrete on-off, but that's all.

Will try 176 if I get time tomorrow. I've written a program to automate the testing so it can run while I'm doing other things.
