OK, I've never used a Pronto so I don't know what CCF files are. We have our own proprietary format....
Did you understand how to use MakeHex to generate full
sets of these signals for testing?

I do now, I've downloaded it, created .irps for Panasonic2 device code 144 and 176, made hex files and imported them into our own software so I can look at them. I will try them later today (tedious process!) and report back here.

But where do I get the information that 144 is VCR and 176 is DVD (my assumptions)?
Is there a doc somewhere for this, as there is for SIRCS, RC5, RECS80, NEC etc? Some manufacturers publish this info, does Panasonic? I do have some of these and some confidential protocol stuff as well if you email me....
