Wouldn't the power toggle also turn it on if it was off to begin with? I'm fairly new to this all, but it seems like discrete off is far more useful than discrete on. On macros are easy, but a good system off macro seems impossible without a discrete off. Am I confused?

Are you using a surround system with the combo
unit or is it a standalone piece? I know it's
not fancy but you could just plug the combo unit
into the receiver and use its discrete on/off
(if it has one).

Or with the piece that had a discrete on, you
could assign the macro with a on code then the
pwr toggle to turn it off. Good luck.
