QQQ, that's very interesting. I do notice that when I use the Dishnetwork RF remote, that the IR sensor(that transmits IR signals from my home theater to the components in another room) blinks indicating that is is receiving IR signals at the same time. I have two model 4000 receivers that I have mounted in the basement, input into a modulator so that one is on channel 67 and the other on channel 69, and then transmitted throughout the house wiring via my Monster panel. I need a separate unit that I can place in my component cabinet dedicated to the Home Theater System in my great room.

Your Model 6000 is currently featured on the Dish Network website but there is no mention of IR capabilities. They currently have a special on the DishPVR 501 for $199 which would be perfect for my use if it can be controlled from my Marantz RC5000. Looks like I should talk to more Dishnet technitions to see if I can get better information.

Did you "learn" the codes or were you able to find them in a file somewhere?

Thanks greatly for this information.
