Ok,
I'm just about finished with my first BIG Crestron job, and I can tell you this, using the symbolic stuff with SIMPL Windows is a complete pain. I'll do as little of it with raw symbols in the future as possible. I'm sure its great for simple living room type systems, but add any complexity and it gets really horrible.
My question is, how do you guys handle more complex jobs?
Do you just run every TP join into a module? Then have enough outputs to connect to all your devices?
I am considering translating every TP output join into a string and sending to the module. I'm not sure how to handle the module outputs yet.
Before you scream at such an approach, realize one clear benefit of this is that you can easily connect a PC up to a serial port and generate the same input for the module.
Ideas?
