Sony makes the hardware, Hughes designed (influenced) the interface. Keep in mind that Sony is a BIG corporation, and has MANY divisions, including the one that makes the continually horribly bad sat receivers. Don't blame ALL Sony, or even Hughes. Blame the one imbecile that heads the sat recever division. May he be fired post haste. (we can only hope)
