The way to rig it with what you already have is to buy an x-box controller extension cable, cut it in half, solder the conductors on both sides, shrink tube the solder connections and give it a whirl. The gauge of the wire might be important and if it is, the distance will be even more of an issue. You might try doubling up the conductors of the C5 where applicable - Best of luck.
