What about wireless ir controllers and an IR repeater system. If you go that route you would not be limited to sitting in one spot in room b. I have never tried hard wiring controllers from one room to another, so I dont know if it would work at all. I have put a reapeter system in for a customer so that they can shut off the box( in that case, a PS1) when they wanted to limit the time spent by the children playing games.
