I'm hoping that someone can help me, its probably a dumb question and it's right in front of my face, but, I've bought myself a new dell lap top, a big change from my compaq that was about 4 years old, but anywa i went to hook to a pronto and i realized there isn't any serial ports, so i'm being informed thst not to many lap tops have them any more, so they sold me an adapter which changes a usb to serial for pda's and they said this would work, but it does not, the port will open but the pronto will not comunicate back, and noones has been able to answer my questions. thanks
