Thanks....small board on back allowed access to the receiver. Now I remember the trouble I had when I did this before. To ensure near perfect IR reception, I attached the emitter to the receiver, but this slightly interferes w/ normal IR control when remote is aimed at set.
As for all the inquiries, I'm not a Mitsu dealer...customer has had the set a few years..here's the details: Model VS80803. Size 80" 4:3 Unit is (Mitsubishi) HD Ready which means it has RGB BNC's and adding a bulky science kit looking box allows it to receive 1080i images. I'm not a big Mitsu fan, but the picture looks quite good for 80". I think mostly because it appears not to process/convert any of the analog inputs/CATV to digital, which is where most sets start to look lousy (especially in early production HD Ready sets).
