The emitter is most likely behind the glass. Crestron sells an IR blaster. You might be able to remove an access panel or find a way to insert the blaster into the TV w/o physically modifying the enclosure from the rear.
I have never seen the 80" Mitsu, so must ask... is there an IR input / system link connector on the rear panel?
