Thanks for all your assistance. I was finally able to get Yamaha to talk to me even though I am a consumer and not a custom installer... I have decided against using the Zone2 output since it is a variable output and I don't want to introduce any unneccesary signal degradation in the circuit.

I also had a heck of a time getting an answer out of them on the operation of the "home bank" "memory bank" and "recall bank" extended IR functions. They seemed to think no consumer would ever want to understand how these worked.
