Ernie has just shed some light onto the question of how did Dark Helmut hook up his AV system in the movie Space Balls... this has always confounded me.

IF you set the record output to video AUX AND plugged zone2 output into video AUX, that should work, no? ...at least if you only have 2 recording devices (VCR1 and VCR2) and do not plan on actually using zone2 for a second zone. The only thing to avoid is ever selecting video AUX as the zone2 source, or else...
