Maybe I wasn't clear. I have multiple recording devices, and I have multiple sources. I would like to use my remote control (Pronto) to choose which source is routed to ALL the recording inputs. This is normally done with a selector switch on the front panel of the Yamaha RX-V3000. I proposed setting this switch to VCR2 permanently since I don't actually have a 2nd VCR. I am wondering if I can route the Zone2 output to the VCR2 input on the receiver to accomplish remote selection of the source for recording.

I was hoping to get someone with specific knowledge of how this might work with Yamaha equipment, since I know Zone2 is implemented differently by different manufacturers.
