Send the Dell back, if you can, spend a little more and get one with a DB-9. I think Dell will take it back within 30 days. I wish I sent mine back, (inspiron 2600) with the Keyspan(USA-19QW),it does work with Pronts & VIA Tools, but dosn't work with HyperTerminal.
