ALL PLASMAS will shatter at 30 thousand feet if not in a pressurized cargo hold!
Much like a human who recently shipped himself via commercial carrier would have died if not pressurized...for different reasons though!
I would venture that TWO broken plasmas, shipped via air freight, were broken because of mis-handling and NOT altitude!
I recently returned from Santa Barbara, CA, where I did a job for a friend...when I got out of the Canadair Regional Jet (this is important because they unload the luggage straight onto the tarmac at DIA) I saw my tool box, including screwdrivers, drill, razor blades, etc....busted open on the ground....
AHL...like I said...have INSTALLED these at altitude...ALOT
If your are expericencing buzzing in Houston, then something else is wrong.
If your are hearing they are the noisiest at altitude, then you are getting mis-information.
I have over 50 in the field, most at 7000 feet plus.
They are NOT quiet as I stated, but they are the QUIETEST of anything except the new zeniths...
Denver is at 5280 (Mile High City)...we go up from there!
What IS the altitude in Houston, BTW?
