I've been to two houses today... both with that wonderful electrician status quo 18/4 to 2 18/2s. The one I opened up had 7 4 conductors with like colors wire-nutted together behind the plate. I don't often say this but ther really is NO way to get wires to the VCs for control without major drywall repair and some of the areas are venetian plaster.
God it pisses me off that people in charge of wiring a 2 million dollar house are so f-----g inept. I know... sell yourself to he builder... yada yada yada. I've talked, mailed, lunched these guys till the cows come home but when sparky gives away the low voltage I've got to walk away and let the chips fall where they may?
Anyway... can you mail me with your experience with Matrix. looks like its this or a wireless IP automation system (unfortunately way out of budget for this client... guess the house killed the wallet for now)
