We normally install an Antenna Craft FMSS in the attic on every job. Works well.
Just for general information......In a pinch, you can use plain old coax.
Strip it back to where you have nothing left but the center conductor for about 30 inches. That will tune it for roughly the middle of the FM band.
Connect the other end to the tuner normally. Works just like a car antenna. FM is broadcast in both the horizontal and vertical planes. Since there is less man-made noise in the horizontal plane, mount the thing horizontlly if you can.... But will work fine either way.
