Can, the simplest way to tell the electrician what you want is to ask for a single-gang box in the ceiling, and one where the equipment will go, and to run a 14-2 between them.

I suggest placing the latter near the stack's supplying receptacle box, even on the opposite side of the same stud, but mention to him to not use one 2-gang box for both devices.

Remind him that this needs to be an isolated run of Romex, and not to add any other wires to either box, unless you see a need for a second power feed, like to a screen motor, etc.
