The DCM cd changers have always been the #1 Denon defective category. s The only other Denon unit that we see going back for repairs more so than others are DRA-685 stereo receivers. For as long as I can remember the drive mechanism in their cd changers has always been suspect. I cannot think of any other current cd changer (except the rcc-1055 Rotel) that still incorporates transport screws. Stupid question, but I have to ask it - you or your installers are taking out the transport screws before initial powerup? Sorry, but sometimes we miss the obvious. Good luck on the ra's - I live less than 10 miles from their East Coast facility in New Jersey, so turn-around time on these repairs is usually less than2 weeks.
