Dawn,
I'd download the manuals as Jeff recommended.
You will find the programming to be nearly identical
enough to get the concepts. We'll help you with
any specifics. I think you have the best low
cost alternative out there - don't send it back
yet.

Personally I have done lots of Prontos and CHAD
remotes and considered the legibility of the monochrome
screen to be a real issue, especially considering
the cost of the remote (not a cheapie). I now
use RTI for the higher end clients. However,
to keep the lower cost clients in remote heaven,
the MX-850 has been absolutely outstanding. The
900 is of course the newer iteration of that style.
I'd definitely not send it back without spending
some time with it.

Tom,

I absolutely agree with you, the MX-900 looks perfect for my less expensive systems.

I've been pretty crabby lately due to my "sinus-infection from hell", so when I clicked on the help button in the MX-900 editor, and a page opened up with "We're sorry, the page you are trying to reach has been moved, or never existed.", I kind of lost it.

With the Pronto I'm always prepared for bugs, but at least I can find documentation, or at the very least, a working help system.

Rant ended. I'm going to the kitchen to take another anti-biotic. :-(

Dawn
