You act as if Blu-ray hasn't been whoring themselves out for a while. They've given away 10 free BD movies. Who do you think financed the amazon BD buy one get one free offer? Do I think that BD will win versus HD? Sure. It'll be a Pyrrhic victory. But make no mistake BD won't be around in 5-7 yrs.

how does your insane ramblings have anything to do with what you quoted.

If you had a brain and where into AV and where around in the early days of DVD you would see the exact same thing as what is happening with BD. The sales exist because the format is new. That means that unlike the DVD today where the price drops every few months on title because it is older a new format has too many new users and you can ask that premium price to the new users. On the other hand you want to offer that lower price to get the person that does not think the title is worth the "new title" price. That is why every so often there are sales on titles that have been out for some time, you get the "new title price is too expensive for that movie" guy to buy it. On the other hand it is funny that your bitterness is all about BD BOGOs, didn't HD DVD have more then it's share of BOGOs. The only difference is that the same way that most where not interested in anything HD DVD they where not interested in BOGOs

As for the BD won’t be around for 5-7 years, you have been talking about BDs demise for some time now and it was never true. But I find it funny that all you supposed HD fans that liked HD DVD are all now saying no one needs it and HD is doomed.
