Having just installed 2 Aquos 27" LCD's that need to be operated by crestron. We have discovered that there is no "power on" RS232 protocol for the unit. We checked with Sharp and they confirmed that one does not exist although there is a "power off" command, ridiculous. If i convert the control to IR i only get toggling power.
As i see it, i have 2 options.
1. toggle "power" via IR to turn it on and use RS232 to turn it off.
2. use a relay on the pro2 with a power switching device to cut off and re-instate power to the unit itself.

I'm not particularly keen on either of these options and i'm hoping someone might have found a solution.

Thanks
Simon.
