We have a Kawasaki PCS1965 for the car. From
looking at other sites, it seems to be the lens
unit that is broken. It was stuck halfway through
a DVD, and from reading other posts, we moved
it back down towards where the center of the dvd
would be. It now plays the first two minutes
of every dvd, but the lens unit doesn't want to
go onto the next ring/thread of the dvd (towards
the outer edge), does anyone have any ideas on
how to fix this?

It sounds like the lens unit is getting stuck at the point where it was when you pushed it back towards the center. Therefore, I would suggest, GENTLELY, pulling it towards you or to the outside of it's travel. I would carefully pull it back with a wire stiff enough to hold an "L" shaped bend on the end. Being carefull of course not to drag it across the lens. Then push it back towards the center and see if you can feel the point at which it stopped at before. If you can then it will probably stop there again. At which time you need to figure out if it's worth my time to fix it or money to get a new one.
Lacking more information, this seems like the next logical steps to me.
Good Luck.
Not "Comfortably Broke" anymore just plain broke.
