the problem with that is you
can only control that receiver from one IR receiver. The
Octavia switch allows you to view any input on any or
all of the outputs. Does anyone know if there is any way
to change the IR codes on the receivers? Direct TV says
no, but I'm hoping for some type of work around.
There's no changing the IR program within the device
One way is to get a receiver from someone other then Direct
TV, but I don't know of another vendor besides Direct
TV. I had a TIVO at one time but they don't work with
Direct TV anymore.
