Roger and Cliff, sorry it took so long to get back. As discussed above, I was also having problems switching inputs so here is how I did it for my Kenwood KR-V8080 receiver (I tested it tonight and it worked)

1. programed RCVR with code 0314
2. then assigned a key (such as the TV/VCR key) with the EFC number of 300
3. then reprogramed RCVR w/ code 0027

Then when I hit the TV/VCR key it changed my inputs for the receiver. Also here are my "found" EFC codes for 0027
