Neil, My Panasonic vcr is a VERY basic two-head, multisystem not from North America vcr. As such, functions like 'VCR+' you will have to find yourself. You mention in your email that 528 resets your vcr to factory defaults. Why is that number so high? You only need to search between 000 and 255. 528<==>016 (528-256-256)
Below is my crude extended function table for Device code 0454: Panasonic NV-SD235AM 000 (Rewind) IntroJetScan 012 8 1 goes on screen WONT GO AWAY!! 014 screen back to normal again 016 7 goes onscreen (Power off/on makes it go) 055 Change speed EP/SP 056 Set speed to EP 059 Set speed to SP 081 Demo mode? play, stop, eject 088 equivalent to MENU->Tuner Preset 102 MENU 181 Clock Set 185 Timer Programme 221 equivalent to MENU->System->AUTO 223 equivalent to MENU->System->NTSC 225 equivalent to MENU->System->PAL 227 equivalent to MENU->System->MESECAM 234 DISPLAY (toggles between time, counter & time remaining)
This was very rough. I don't know why there weren't more codes. I had a real problem pressing the stupid '1' shaped key. I wish they were real buttons. Luckily I rarely need to use the keypad numbers.
As I found what I needed I didn't investigate further to see what some of the strange codes did.
