I just looked at one of the Denon ccf's, and found discrete power codes in it for the dvd. they are decimal values 62 (on) and 63 (off). You should be able to try them on the 1994 by selecting the DVD player and then pressing P 195 for on, and P 187 for off (195 is the EFC for 62, 187 is EFC for 63). If these work you can store them on buttons with a sequence like CD P** 994 ** P 195 POWER **. (this assumes the DVD is on the CD button, and you are assigning the ON code to the POWER button).
