The last reply seems a little snippy. I did read the whole thread. I did try the 0170 code. It shifts my receiver to the AM tuner mode and does not turn it off. I assume this is the other device code for ONKYO, consistent with the 0135 device code that is not completely compatible with my ONKYO 595. I am having the same problem as the person who initiated this thread and have not found a solution other than the learning function. All I really need is the discreet code for Power Off on the ONKYO. I can tell you it is not 0170.
