I have the same problem with my Yamaha rx-v1300 receiver and the 8810w remote. The discrete codes work but not the 250 toggle code. The receiver and remote are new so I'm still learning the in and outs of both.
I've had two Cinema 6 remotes for a couple of years and they work great with my Denon receiver using two device codes.
