Same here gfb107. I am honestly reluctant for the following reasons:
1. I dont want to spend another $20 just to learn 2-3 more buttons.

2. I dont know how to solder and am too impatient to wait a few days to get the jp1 cable.

3. If do get it, it just means I have to spend more time learning the application again just to add 2-3 more buttons. I am not computer savy.

I don't plan to add to my system for a while so all this trouble to add 2 functions one time. I love the 2116 because of the number of buttons and the price of course. A little bit more memory and it would have been perfect for us regular consumers.
