I think that you are probably right, in that the listed discrete & advanced codes will most likely fill most all of my needs for my MX-500.

I want to find the discrete / advanced codes for my Sony STR-DE945 A/V receiver to switch Soundfields and Inputs; and for my Toshiba TW56X81 HDTV to directly switch to Video1,2,3 & ColorStream1 & 2, inputs which I can't currently do on the MX-500. I have to toggle thru them one by one (TV inputs). I have no access to Soundfields at all remotely, except on the original LCD remote which you can't learn into the MX-500.

Those remotes you recommended will also give me JP1 capability if I need it.
