I have set up my new 2116 to control the usual array of devices: TV, VCR, DVD, Receiver, CD. I completed the code setup for each one without any issues.

However, the control of my Samsung TXM3298HF television is very flaky. I have to point the 2116 directly at the IR receiver on the TV to get it to respond and even then it often takes 2 or 3 pushes of the button to get a response.

This seems to happen for all controls of this television: volume up/down, channel up/down, power, PIP, etc.

The batteries are fresh.

The original remote works just fine. Very reliable; no need to point carefully.

The 2116 works very reliably for all of the other devices.

I've reset the code several times with no change in behavior.

Any thoughts?
