I have an 8810 and just got the new HD TIVO. This device seems to use the VCR 0618 codes. Most of the buttons work well with this device, such as the numbers, arrows, and transport buttons. But a number of others don't. I have gotten the advanced codes from hifi-remote, and trying to use them gives no response. Either doing an actual key move or just trying * + code gives no response. If I learn the code it works fine, and if I decode it with IR, it is indeed the code I have been trying to use.

I can do programming with JP1, but each of the PVR upgrades needs to use a protocol upgrade. I already have an extensive protocol upgrade from several other devices, and I don't really want to change it. It seems using 0618 with some key moves would be a lot better. I don't want to learn the codes because I am essentially out of learned memory.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
