I may check into seeing if I can hunt down a urc-9811. My natural inclination because I'm tired and my health is bad is to stay with what I know, so I would prefer to stay with something in the UEI family. One thing I found on the hi-fi remote jp-1 forum is that the new OFA remotes aren't jp-1 compatible(?). Also when I froogled the urc-9910 all the pictures had the infamous donut ring. So I was wondering: can I get both jp-1 and no donut ring, or am I stuck choosing one or the other? Is there any way to tell ahead of time, such as B00 vs. B01 or whatever? I'll look into the URC remotes if I feel up to it, although my needs for RF performance are modest and the expense may be an issue. Thanks again for the suggestions.
