I doubt that the customer service supports this remote anymore as it's pretty old.
You can indeed program it using JP1. One option is to add a 6-pin connector yourself, but an easier option is to use JP1 to create WAV files that you can indeed load into the remote using the built in modem.
JP1 is a free, user developed process, so there's no CD to buy, you just download the software from my web site.
