Yikes! I still have a couple of V-types, in their original cases: little silver-coloured, felt-lined snap-boxes with miniature screwdrivers for the arm head, and balancing weights. And I still have the Lenco straight-arm turntable that was my favorite.... and a little mirrored gadget that you laid on the rubber mat, against the spindle, so you could see exactly where the needle was floating after balancing.
