Like I said, agree with your rant, and agree with what you say. The only part I did not agree with is that it is a bad idea. I am also sure that it is not there for 17 year olds :) like you said, tag your tots I am guessing <5, to me I see it as extra security and piece of mind, and not as a way to let your kid run wild. Do I think some (maybe even most) parents will see it as a way of shrugging their responsibility? yes. On the other hand if it helps a kid, I am all for it. Even bad kids with worst parents deserve good things
