I have no problem with your priorities, but I think you
might be remiss in expecting the government to take care
of all of these.

I don't want them to do them for me. But I do not want them to tie my hands either. Example: I pay taxes, I get free education for my kids PROVIDED I send them to what ever school district that I live in. What if that school sucks? TOO BAD you live here this is where you WILL send your kids. I like the voucher program. Just 1 example.

Personally, I think it is the individual's responsibility to take care of your first three. Yeah,
I know politicians will promise you all of these things,
but the bottom line is that you are the one it affects.
Make sure you have adequate health and health care, make
sure your kids are getting the education you want them
to have, and for God's sake do not depend on SS.

I agree SS is a crock of crap, and will be finished before I can draw on it. How about letting me take my SS that they take out of my check and give it to my Envestment guy at Edward Jones?

Heath care? Don't Even get me started on that. We pay 550 a month to Blue Cross. And that still does not cover co-pays and a bunch of other crap. When some people get it for free. (immigration/heath care on that comment)

National security is definitely a government job. I'm not sure
what you mean by job status, but it is definitely the
individual's responsibility to get qualified for the job
they want or better yet create a business that provides
jobs.

I was talking about how difficult it is on companies in some states to make new companies, or to even run a business. (immigration also plays into this I guess.)

|Immigration is a tricky issue and you are right
the government needs to deal with it. Taxes should be
cut to the opimal level (maximum receipts to the Treasury
which surprisingly is about 15%) and left there so our
government has less opportunity to meddle. So, if you
take out the things that government has no business doing
you are left with a pretty much conservative government.

I agree. watch the taxes..... cut the taxes...... and yes most importantly.......

be a SMALL conservative Gov. Exactly.
