djy, thanks for asking. I figured I would sort it out some day if I cared, but it was a sudden nice surprise the other day. And the font really is easy to read.
Interesting! And very helpful, even though my glasses still work rather well. Oddly, the "View Code" and "Quote & Reply" are the same size that they used to be.

The reason for this is I had noticed that the rendered
difference between my "small" and "normal" fonts in these
conditions was almost non-existant (they were very similar).
Making small smaller wasn't accessibility friendly (especially
with the growing number of high resolution screens), and
I felt that making normal larger actually looked a bit
better... the font is taller and less "squished" looking,
and yet only *slightly* wider (ie maybe a half pixel per
character).
That's really spiffy.
Now, being the type to push a good thing, can you change the way posts are rendered so that if I copy and paste a tabbed table from Word, or if I create a table using spaces, the text will be rendered in the post just as it was typed in the edit window? An example is Mr. Stanley's response the other day, anal og, which has fourteen spaces between the two parts. It's much funnier in the edit window, and tables can often be helpful.
