I've been using an iPAQ 3955 running PDAWin's TV Remote Controller and overall I've been very pleased with the results. The only thing that is driving me crazy is the speed at which I can increase or decrease the volume on my Yamaha receiver. I learned the volume+ and volume- commands from the original remote and mapped these to hard button on the iPAQ and although the command repeats when I hold the button down, the volume change is significantly slower than when using the original remote. As an experment, I tried using the NEVO software that comes with the iPAQ and setting up the receiver as a predefined device and the volume control speed matches the original remote. Any suggestions on how I might modify the learned IR code to improve the speed or is this a problem with the TV Remote software?
