Just spent the weekend programming my entertainment
system. Unfortunately, my Explorer 8000 and my
Philips DVD (DVP642) are not recognizing my 'learned'
signals. Both are recognized when I use PDAWin.
I am running Total Remote demo on my Toshiba
E310 infrared port.

.......................
I just did some more research. The DVP642 works
in native mode but not in ccf mode. The Explorer
8000 is not detecting Total Remote at all.

When I run my ccf file in PDAWin all devices work
fine. Please don't take this as a bashing post.
I love Don's involvement in the forums and I
really want this program to work.

Thanks for thinking of my feelings! I really, really appreciate it! Maybe in the not too distant future I will not visibly flinch when I see a user complaining about Total Remote in a discussion forum... but not today. ;)

This "works in TVRC, not in Total Remote" thing has prompted us to totally gut and replace the core of our IR-handling code. I know that TVRC does learn and transmit signals that Total Remote appears currently incapable of handling. The IR core re-do is meant to address this.

When you say "The DVP642 works in native mode but not in ccf mode" do you mean Total Remote can learn and transmit the IR signal in native mode but NOT in CCF mode?
